A public library opened in the name of Sayed Faqer Balkhabi from the people of village of Elmarab city Mazar Sharif province Balkh.
Village of Elmarab in the 15 kilometers of city of Mazar Sharif at the side of east in the mountain range of Alborz is located. And people of this village live on both side of creek water. And this creek water including 18 originated from the Sea of Balkhab and by the saying of people of Elmarab in previous time this village was rest place of sheep.
According to the history book of Afghanistan written by Ghulam Muhammad Ghubar: “after repair of the “Roza Sakhi” in the village of Khwaja Khyran on the year of 1488 this city of Mazar Sharif province Balkh was determined by Sultan Hussain Merza Bayeqra that gradually this city extent and villages around the town was established”.
According to the book of Faiz Muhammad a Hazara writer mentioned the 18 creek water of this village and the education places and religious places (Takia Khana) of this village including in his book.
This library has been made by Sayed Hassan (Sayed Raze) son of Sayed Faqer Balkhabi and their sons and their nephews and by the people of villages. Chief of this library is Mr. Hashimi a political man who is in high position and he is member of education department province of Balkh and assistant of this library is Sayed Abbas and librarian is Sayed Muhammad Ali and one committee in leadership of Sayed Meer Hussain and others have been appointed in advance of the library.
Previously already a charitable foundation was created to solve the problems of villagers and now this charitable foundation and this library will be included in the cultural foundation.
The educated and religious people of this village supported the creation of this library. Among them one is Sayed Hashimi headmaster of School Sayed Esmail Balkhi (School for boys) and this school is one the biggest school in this village for boys. And by opening of this library in this village I hope many problems of these students will be solve from the book of this library.
As a member of National Union Journalists of Afghanistan and as an International Journalist Identification Database and Social Networking Community I had been also participated in the opening of this library and I have been seen the interest of new generation and youth of this village about education and books and therefore I am sure that new generation of Afghanistan will select and want books and pens not weapons.
