Two cops killed,Three wounded in remote controlled blast

PESAHWAR, July 02: Unidentified miscreants blew up police van, by a remote controlled bomb, in which killing two police personnel’s and three others including two passerby were wounded.

According to police sources, a police mobile was patrolling on routine in berry bagh nearby densely populated Yakatot area of Peshawar city, early morning on Thursday.


Suddenly unidentified detonated by a powerful remote controlled bomb, in which drive Shuakat killed on the spot, while a police constable Alamzeb succumbed to his injury and died in hospital.


The victims of bomb blast identified as driver Shafaqat Ali and Alamzeb, who were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital.


Two passerby were included in injured, in a powerful bomb blast, identified as Muzamil and Noor Akbar, while a Inspector Nusrat wounded.

The police sources said that they have carried out search operation in Buhdber areas, where two terrorists were fled from the area.

He further said pickets have been established in Khyber Agency and adjoining areas to capture two alleged terrorists.


Several suspects have been arrested during search operation and strict checking was underway at entry and exit routes of Peshawar.
