Peshawar:APRIL18:Two Afghan civilians were injured by ISAF troops following an escalation-of- force incident April 17 in the Maywand district of Kandahar province. The injuries to the two civilians are not believed to be life threatening and both are being treated in an ISAF medical facility. The incident is currently under investigation however. ISAF takes very seriously civilian casualties in military operations and we value the life of every individual. ISAF makes every effort to minimise the risk of any damage, injury or loss of life to civilians in the course of its operations in Afghanistan. We are following the situation very closely and our thoughts go out to the families of those involved. |
